Denis Villeneuve to direct The Story of Your Life

Denis Villeneuve is all set to hold the camera for a screen adaptation of The Story of Your Life’s written piece. It is a science fiction short story, penned by Ted Chiang. It was also the winner of the 2000 Nebula Award for Best Novella as well as the 1999 Sturgeon Award. The script of the film of the same name has been written by Eric Heisserer who is also co-producing the project with others.

Villeneuve became the hot favorite for producers following the success of his flick, Prisoner, released last year. The Story of Your Life is about the time when alien crafts land around the world and an expert linguist gets hired by the military to find out whether the aliens have come for some good or for some other unfolded reasons.
