Constitution of Nepal 2015 Promulgated

September has been registered in history books as a day that firmly established Nepal as a federal democratic republic with secular values. President Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday officially promulgated the Constitution of Nepal 2015 by putting his signature to five copies of the new constitution. “I hereby annouce the commencement of the new constitution,” the President declared addressing the Constituent Assembly and the nation.

People in Kathmandu celebrated the promulgation of first ever constitution written by people’s representatives by lighting candles and oil lamps in various places.
