HTC M8 to Come in Gold?

In the latest image leak, HTC M8’s back has been revealed. Unlike other leaks, for the first time, the new leak hints at HTC One 2 or HTC M8 launching with a metallic back and perhaps in the Golden colour. Apple unleashed a gold frenzy with iPhone 5S and looks like other phone makers are all set to carry it forward.

Even if not a gold finish, the metallic lustre in the photos makes us think that HTC M8 will debut in sharp, metallic colours, While Gold and Silver might be the preferred choices, we wonder if HTC will launch the phone in multiple colours with a metallic finish.

The one thing that’s stayed constant across multiple leaks and rumours are the dual-rear end cameras. The picture confirms the same with the main rear end camera being positioned in the same place as the regular cam and the other being slightly at the top of the phone.

However, while the placement made us wonder if HTC was planning on doing an Oppo N1 and giving us a Twister device. However, the front top is relatively different than the rear end top making the theory bite the dust.

A similar image leaked recently by the Twitter handle @HTCFamily_ru showed the phone with dual-camera too but quickly declared the image to be a fake. While this set of images looks slightly different from the one’s originally leaked, it makes us wonder if this leak is fake too…

Apart from debuting with a dual-SIM (according to the French site leak), not much is yet known about HTC One 2. The phone which has been nick-named M8 (HTC One was called M7) will continue the ultra-pixel trend but with an improved pixel-count this time around. Also, the smartphone is expected to come with a 5-inch display, unlike the current version which has a slightly smaller screen. The phone is expected to come with 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2K resolution and Android 4.4 with Sense UI.
