Obama this year too extends greetings on Nepali New Year.
KATHMANDU: President of the United States Barack Obama on Saturday extended best wishes to Nepal on the occasion of the New Year.
Issuing a message today, the US Secretary of State John Kerry said “on behalf of the President Barack Obama and the American people, I offer the people of Nepal best wishes for a prosperous and joyful New Year.”
Nepal has achieved important milestones this past year, including the democratic election of a new Constituent Assembly, Kerry said.
He further expressed his hope that the coming year will bring further progress towards enduring political stability and the full completion of a new constitution, keeping Nepal on the path of prosperity and peace.
