President and top leaders, officials at the tea party

After a thick consultations to manage the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly, President Ram Baran Yadav organised a tea party at Shital Niwas, Kathmandu, on Tuesday. The Office of the President said that the tea party had been organised to mark the successful conclusion of the CA election and to welcome the new elected members.
“We are gathered here as the process for the CA to convene comes close to completion,” said President Ram Baran Yadav as he addressed the gathering. “I thank the Chairman of the government and the council of ministers for conducting the election successfully and keeping it free and fair.”

The president also thanked the Election Commission, security officials, the international community and media for their roles in the CA election. Referring to the first CA, the president said that the last CA had not been in vain and that it has been able to conclude the peace process.
“The political parties now have the responsibility of taking things forward from this point, incorporating the positive achievements of the last CA,” President Yadav added. “I hope that this CA will be successful in meeting its objective.” Senior leaders of the political parties, officials of the Election Commission,  heads of diplomatic missions and other distinguished guest were present at the party.
