Slumdog Millionaire enters round two of Oscar Bracket Challenge

Slumdog Millionaire edged out No Country for Old Men when the two Academy Award winning pictures went head-to-head in the first round of ABC News’ Oscar Bracket Challenge.

Only 48 votes separated the two films after the first round of votes were tabulated in the contest to find the best Oscar-winning movie in the past 64 years of Academy Award history.
Earning 3,058 votes, Slumdog Millionaire has moved on to the next round of voting, which opens on February 9. In total, 32 films will advance to the second round.
Joining the film will be 2013’s best picture winner Argo, The Kings Speech, Titanic, the first two Godfather films, Lawrence of Arabia, All the King’s Men and more.
After six rounds of voting, a winner for the best Oscar-winning film will be declared later in February.
