AS GLITZY events go, this is about as All-American as they come: Red carpet, White House, blue-ribbon winners in the fashion stakes.
When President Obama throws open the doors to the White House each May for the annual Correspondents’ Dinner, all of the press corps and Tinseltown hopes for an invitation.
The 2014 gala, held today, was one of the most star-studded to date. Is it just us, or is this black-tie gathering starting to rival the Oscars for red-carpet prestige?
